Writing Every Day
I want to get back to blogging. I've been thinking about it for a few weeks now, but I never felt like I had anything worthwhile to say. Today that paralysis ends, I want to turn my November into a writing month. My goal will be to write something each day, even if I struggle to find the words.
We live in a scary new era, increasingly we're letting machines think, create, and "live" for us. This current generation of tech can't live, but its becoming apparent that it can stop us from living ourselves. We wake up to the beck and call of our phones, stare at them for hours, and many of us - myself included - fall asleep with them in-hand. Along with this month of writing I'm making a conscious effort to put down the phone, take out the earbuds, and live myself for a while. I'm hoping to treat this blog as both a journal and also an outlet to share the things I care about.
My hope is that through this daily exercise I can refine my focus and look forward to my writing time as a meditative escape from the noise of the world. I hope some of you will walk with me, put down the phone, pick up a pen (or a blog), and lets try to find ourselves.
